I have just unboxed my new Galaxy S2 Plus, on the box and specs its written 8GB internal memory but when I go to SD Card and phone storage settings am only getting about 3.88GB free internal memory.

Am a little surprised why this is so because I think my device could have a manufacturer defect or its a fake.

Do I need to worry? How much internal memory did you get with your new Galaxy S2 Plus?

You have no reason to worry. For a new 8GB android phone, 3GB - 4GB is the normal free space you will get, the rest is taken up by Android and Samsung system files.

The amount of free space will depend on your country/region but the average is between 3GB - 4GB free memory for the Galaxy S2 Plus.
